GLONGO is looking for a seasoned humanitarian/development practitioner/professional with advanced facilitation skills, and a true drive to link practice more meaningfully to policy/advocacy and to find creative, collective solutions to the challenges our sector faces in delivering or facilitating development cooperation in African settings. Join our small dynamic team catalysing the delivery of the Council’s ambitious new strategy.  This position will become available in eary October 2018. 

The Director of HR, Finance and Administration will be a strategic thought-partner, and report to the executive director (ED). The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative manager and will lead and develop an internal team to support the following areas: finance, business planning and budgeting, membership, human resources, administration, and IT.  The Director will play a critical role in partnering with the senior leadership team in strategic decision making and operations. This is a tremendous opportunity for a finance and operations leader to maximize and strengthen the internal capacity of a well-respected, high-impact organization. This position will become available in late September 2018.  

 The Director of Training and Capacity building will play a critical role in partnering with the senior leadership team in strategic decision making and operations as GLONGO continues to enhance its quality training, advocacy, programming and build capacity. This is a tremendous opportunity for a training and operations leader to maximize and strengthen the internal capacity of a well-respected, high-impact organization.  The Communications and Advocacy Director will develop and implement communications plans and materials in support of GLONGO's objectives and plan of action. The main responsibility is to help design design and strengthen dynamic internal communications to support development cooperation in Africa, and help develop advocacy messages. The post holder will be expected to continue with basic tasks of the present function and take on new areas of communications responsibility in relation to target audiences in around the world. This position will become available in early October 2018. 

GLONGO is looking for a professional that will help achieve the Council's membership development goals and corporate strategy in Africa and around the world.  The Associate Director  will support, coach and develop the membership and outreach team, with a focus on performance and results, and member satisfaction. He/She will additionally contribute to strategic business planning and budget management, and work across GLONGO to ensure member/partner participation in wider programmes, events and projects. This position will become available in late October 2018.
