The African Council of Non-Governmental Organisations (AFRONGO) is a regional coalition of international, regional and national civil society and non-governmental organisations working to realise environmental sustainability, peace, universal human rights, equality and social justice, good governance and sustainable human development in communities across Africa.

AFRONGO provides access to people and organisations that are working for social, economic and ecological justice and provides the opportunity to coordinate efforts with other CSOs at national, regional and global levels around the world. It enhances learning and sharing, and shares information, skills and knowledge, which strengthen our ability to improve our impact in our communities in Africa.

AFRONGO decentralises its advocacy, training and capacity building efforts across sub-regions in Africa, with the aim of increasing impacts, outreach to key stakeholders and policymakers.

The African Coalition for the SDGs mobilizes African civil society and key stakeholders for the implementation and realisation of the SDGs in local communities across Africa.

How to Manage an NGO is a 220 page book written by Peter SaSellu, the President & CEO of the African NGO Council and founding a Managing Director of the African Consulting Group.

The African NGO Council in partnership with key stakeholders across the continent and abroad is organising the African NGO Summit, Awards & Expo to bring together partners and stakeholders.

The African Union Commission today received medical supplies from the Republic of Korea that will boost the continental capacity to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The consignment included 2 million masks were given by the Republic of Korea to the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) to be distributed to the AU Member States.

The African NGO Council and its members in Sierra Leone, including the Institute for Public Affairs, commend the leadership of President Julius Maada Bio for successfully instituting the sexual offences court . The Council is pleased with the decision of the President and his government to put legal modalities in place to address rape and its related issues, which often have devastating...

Kenya will host the 2023 African NGO Summit, in Nairobi, from 21-22 November 2023 at the Trademark Hotel. The event is organised by the African NGO Council. It'll bring together 700 national and international NGOs, donor institutions, diplomats, philanthropists, civil society actors, political leaders, journalists, social influencers and activists, policymakers and NGO regulators from across the continent.
